  1. Prepare the Ingredients

    Slice the avocados lengthwise into thick wedges. In separate bowls, set up a coating station with flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second and breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper in the third.

    Tip: Use panko breadcrumbs for a crispier texture.
  1. Heat the Oil

    Pour enough oil into a deep frying pan to cover the avocado slices halfway. Heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches about 180°C

    Tip: Test the oil by dropping a small piece of breadcrumb into it - if it sizzles, it’s ready.
  1. Coat the Avocado Slices

    Dredge each avocado slice in the flour, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Dip it into the beaten eggs, letting the excess drip off and then press it into the breadcrumbs to coat thoroughly.

    Tip: Press lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well without crushing the avocado.
  1. Fry the Slices

    Carefully place the coated avocado slices into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain.

    Tip: Maintain the oil temperature to prevent the slices from becoming soggy.
  1. Serve

    Transfer the fried avocado slices to a serving platter. Garnish with a sprinkle of salt or your favorite seasoning blend and serve immediately with dipping sauce, such as aioli or spicy mayo.

    Tip: Serve while warm to enjoy their full crispness and creamy texture.
