Quesadillas are a traditional Mexican dish made with tortillas filled with cheese and various fillings, such as chicken. Cooked until the cheese melts. Assembled, folded and fried in a pan until crispy and golden on both sides.

  1. Prepare the Fillings

    Lay the tortillas on a flat surface. Evenly distribute 1/4 cup of shredded chicken and 1/4 cup of shredded cheese over one half of each tortilla.

    Add 1/4 cup of salsa on top of the fillings.

  1. Fold and Cook

    Fold each tortilla in half to cover the fillings.

    Heat a skillet over medium heat, put a quesadilla in the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is golden brown.

  1. Serve with Toppings

    Slice each quesadilla into wedges and serve with sour cream on the side for dipping.

Note

Tip:

Use a spatula to press down lightly on the quesadilla while cooking for even browning and melting.
