Description

Healthy yogurt parfait is a refreshing dish made by layering creamy yogurt, crunchy granola and juicy mixed berries. Drizzle with honey and garnish with mint.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
  1. PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS

Wash the mixed berries thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or residue. Pat them dry gently with a clean paper towel or kitchen cloth. Slice larger berries, like strawberries, into smaller pieces for easier layering. Set the berries aside in a bowl.

Tip: Ensure the berries are fully dry before using to prevent the granola from becoming soggy.
  2. LAYER THE YOGURT

Take a clean serving glass or bowl and add 2-3 tablespoons of yogurt as the base layer. Use a spoon to spread it evenly at the bottom to create a smooth foundation for the parfait.

Tip: Use thick yogurt, such as Greek yogurt, for a creamier and more stable base that layers neatly.
  3. ADD THE GRANOLA

Sprinkle a thin layer of granola over the yogurt. Use about 1-2 tablespoons to ensure the layers remain distinct. Spread it evenly, covering the yogurt completely for a balanced crunch.

Tip: Use a spoon to avoid spilling granola outside the glass and keep the presentation neat.
  4. LAYER THE BERRIES

Add 2-3 tablespoons of the mixed berries on top of the granola. Distribute them evenly, mixing the colors for a visually appealing layer. Press lightly with a spoon to settle the berries without crushing them.

Tip: Alternate between smaller berries and slices of larger berries for a vibrant and varied texture.
  5. REPEAT THE LAYERS

Repeat the yogurt, granola and berry layers until the glass or bowl is full, leaving enough room at the top for garnishes. Aim for at least two complete layers of each component for a balanced parfait.

Tip: Adjust the portion size of each layer based on the size of the serving glass or bowl to create even, proportional layers.
  6. DRIZZLE THE HONEY

Drizzle 1-2 teaspoons of honey over the top layer of berries for added sweetness. Use a small spoon or a honey dipper to control the flow and avoid over-sweetening.

Tip: Warm the honey slightly if it’s too thick, making it easier to drizzle evenly.
  7. GARNISH AND SERVE

Place a small mint leaf or two on the top as a garnish. Serve the yogurt parfait immediately with a long spoon to allow easy access to all layers.

Tip: Serve the parfait fresh to maintain the crunchiness of the granola and the vibrant flavors of the berries. If preparing in advance, store in the refrigerator and add the granola just before serving.
